Perspective

Channeled song: shut up by Ariana Grande

Perspective tends to change as you grow older. There is a quote where someone says, “hindsight is 20/20.” This means that when looking at the past, it’s easier to see red flags and tiny hints that you may have missed in your own youthful naivety.

Time is not the only thing that can shift your perspective. Life-changing moments, like trauma, spiritual awakenings, and acquiring new knowledge can shift the way that you see the past and the present. Chances are, there are very few people who see exactly the same way.

Advice

It’s really important to honor different perspectives throughout your life. Many people tend to find themselves in regret over the past, but it’s important to keep this in mind: you responded to your situation with what you knew at the time. There’s nothing you can do to change the past. When you get Perspective as advice, it means that it may be time to shift your perspective about something or someone.
