Reconciliation

Channeled song: skinny dipping by Sabrina Carpenter

Sometimes, there’s just more to a story before you can move on. People often separate and then reunite because a certain amount of growth needed to happen, or the circumstances needed a bit of adjusting. Maybe there’s a lesson in this person that you haven’t quite learned yet. Reconciliation can be platonic, romantic, or familial.

When you pull this card, it means that a relationship in your life might need some reevaluation.

This card is not popping up so that you can keep trying to fix someone who keeps hurting you.

Advice

Whatever the reason for reconciliation, it’s important to dissolve built-up resentment. Holding onto the past is bad for your health. It only matters if there’s a pattern that keeps reoccurring or permanent damage at hand.

It’s important to remember your boundaries and non-negotiables. Only reconcile with people who can meet you where you are and won’t drag you down.

Journal prompt

  1. Are you open to allowing a certain person/group back into your life?

  2. Why or why not?

  3. Can you work through your problems?

  4. Do you want to?

  5. Would reconciling with this person or group be good for you? (Reevaluation doesn’t mean letting them back in. This is entirely your choice.)
